Leandra Medine, aka the Man Repeller, is a name most know but there's another Medine in the fashion biz. His name is Haim, and he's cut from the same quirky cloth as his sister.

With an eye for design, Haim Medine recently launched fine jewelry line Khai Khai Jewelry to much fanfare, and with good reason: He fashions diamonds into delicate pendants, rings, and earrings shaped in marijuana leaves, rain drops, spiders, and bananas. Learning his trade for jewelry making in the family (mom is also a jeweler), Medine went out on his own to set out and establish his own brainchild whose niche would be to offer something fine in appearance yet adventurous in nature; thus the birth of Khai Khai Jewelry, per his website.

The price point is certainly aspirational for many, with the simplest pear knuckle ring costing $455 and a particularly stunning mother of pearl and diamond shark tooth necklace hitting a high point at $5,375. But that hasn't stopped consumers the aforementioned necklace is currently sold out on his website.

Medine has some of fashions hottest young tastemakers on his team; sis Leandras mug is splashed all over the website, and she's uninhibited about promoting him on Twitter and Instagram. Also on board? Claire Distenfeld, the 20-something owner of the sparkling boutique Fivestory, who was the first buyer to stock Medine's designs. You can make astonishing savings on Ladies stainless steel bracelets watches. His goods are currently sold at Fivestory, London Jewelers in Easthampton, and online.

The highlight of the collection is surely the Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil monkey rings and necklaces in 18-karat gold and outlined in 0.4 carats of diamonds. Making some sort of feel-good statement with your bling bling? Oui oui. A bit cheesier, but very apropos for our millennial generation, is a diamond hashtag and ampersand ring. And what better way to frame your face than with parentheses earrings? Medine may take the plugged-in generation thing a bit too literally, but the tongue-in-cheek approach to diamonds and other precious things fits perfectly into the category of irreverently and unapologetically cool.

Artisan created, each item is handmade in the USA from fruits and vegetables made into translucent parchment sheets. Parchment sheets are transformed into beautiful one-of- a-kind pieces by artist Margaret Dorfman. A spokesperson for Stylish Organics further elaborates, Truly environmentally friendly,The slick petrol tones in these contemporary stainless steel cufflinks links is achieved. each bowl and piece of jewelry reflects in gorgeous jewel-like colors the stunning detail and intricate structure of the fruit and vegetable used.

To create the natural bowls and organic jewelry, translucent parchments made from fruits and vegetables are hand folded into delicate shapes or are fused to recycled copper shapes or strips. Shaped parchments create blossoms used for some of the organic earrings and the free form natural bowls. Cuff bracelets, disk earrings and necklaces are constructed of copper covered with parchment. Glazed with a nontoxic, lacquer-like protective finish, blossom earrings are attached to gold filled earring hooks while disk earrings are suspended from 24K gold over sterling silver ear wires. Some of the blossom earrings are finished with semi-precious gem stones, or freshwater pearls. No artificial dyes or chemicals are used in this process. This eco friendly jewelry is lead and cadmium free. Availability of varieties differs somewhat by season, though most are available year round.

The ring features a roughly three-carat center diamond and small diamonds set in an etched 18K white gold band.

Winn and her husband, Donald Winn, gave store owner Coleen Freeman and jeweler Kamyar Zarrabi a general idea of what they had in mind. Zarrabi then worked with the couple to approve his designs before he created the mold. This was the first piece that we tried to recreate on our own, of something of my mothers, said the Rancho Santa Fe resident. I love the way it all came about. The end result surpassed what any of us thought it would be.

Although she didnt think it was possible to use all of the diamonds from her mothers ring, Winn said Zarrabi used all of them because he knew how special the piece was to her.I thanked him for his craftsmanship because it could not be better, Winn said. It takes the diamonds from my moms ring into a setting that we created with Kam. To me, thats even more special.

Rancho Santa Fe Estate and Fine Jewelry specializes in a variety of services, including jewelry appraisal, acquisition, cleaning, resizing and repair. In addition to the $1 million in jewelry on display, the store offers customer jewelry design.Anytime someone cant find what they want, we just make it, Freeman said. I like taking someones idea and giving them a finished product that theyre happy with. I want them to love what they have, feel like they were a part of the process and get what they wanted not what someone else had in their head.

Rancho Santa Fe Estate and Fine Jewelry has offered one-of-a-kind pieces for more than 30 years in the community. Freeman, 60, renamed the business after purchasing it from Marilyn Mulloy about four years ago. She had been the manager of Mulloys store for six years.

It was a perfect transition although I never dreamed of owning my own store, said Freeman, who used to work in the jewelry department at J.C. Penney. I had already built the clientele. I know the people, and I like the people. This item is for one stainless steel bangles core for wood. I was sad to leave the people.
